Apple Quadra 950

Apple Quadra 950

The Quadra 950 was the top notch 68k Apple machine way back in 1992. 5 Nubus slots and one PDS slot made this machine highly extensible. Something one can only dream of, when looking at todays machines from Apple.

The key is sort of an ignition key. Its three positions mean: 0 as off, force power off; 1 as on for normal operation; and third is a locked position for server operation.

My 950 meanwhile received a PPC upgrade. This way, the user can choose, if the 68040 should run @ 40 MHz, or if the PPC 601 should run @ 66 MHz with 1 MB L2 cache.
